Allen Versfeld is a multi-disciplinary IT engineer, a podcast producer, and a science communicator. He has over 25 years experience supporting and building medium to large business IT infrastructure. In this time he’s worked as a Unix systems administrator, system integration engineer, technology consultant and cloud specialist. He originally launched Constellation Online Solutions as a simple web and email hosting business, providing back-end infrastructure to the websites he built.
When he’s not wrestling corporate IT systems or raising a family, he serves as a Section Director of the Astronomical Society of South Africa and a freelance science journalist. He has a regular spot on the Weekly Space Hangout, reporting on space news, and is the host and producer of the Urban Astronomer podcast.
Cathrine Versfeld is a Marketing and Corporate Communications Consultant with 18 years’ experience in writing and publication. Her primary focus is on brand and reputation management. Her skills span from hard-copy marketing and PR communication, BTL projects and e-books to company profiles, standard operating procedures, product branding and web-based concept writing and development.
After the success of her 2015 course, “The Anatomy of Social Media in Marketing”, she identified a need for social media training beyond the executive level. “Corporate Responsibility in Social Media” is the first course in her new series and is developed for general company staff.
